SFU Burnaby 2065 Campus Master Plan
SFU Campus Planning & Development is in the process of creating the SFU Burnaby 2065 Campus Master Plan, a comprehensive plan that will provide a physical vision and flexible planning and decision-making framework to guide the evolution of the campus over the next 50 years. This site is your source of up-to-date news and information.
November 13th Open House
On November 13th, the campus community was invited to an open house to learn about the planning process, and to ask questions and provide feedback on the key elements of the draft SFU Burnaby 2065 Campus Master Plan. Over 175 participants joined our team to discuss the future of the SFU Burnaby Campus - thank you to everyone who joined us!
The feedback received during the open house, and through a parallel online survey will be invaluable as the project team works to finalize the Master Plan in December 2019.
If you weren't able to join us at the open house, you can still review the Open House Panels through the link below.
Draft Campus Master Plan Report
The draft Campus Master Plan is the result of the Project Team's work over the past 1.5+ years, providing a framework to guide the evolution of the physical campus over the next 50 years. The draft report has been informed by input from the SFU Community and stakeholders through every stage of the project, including a series of key stakeholder interviews and workshops, an online survey, a Design Review Panel, and an Executive Steering Committee.
This first draft of the Campus Master Plan was shared with the Design Review Panel and Executive Steering Committee in September 2019, and is now being shared with the full SFU community through an Open House and parallel online engagement. All of the feedback received through these community engagement activities will inform refinements and finalization of the Campus Master Plan in December 2019.
